Skiing

Once again this year i'm going skiing in scotland! Last year when we went there was loads of snow! This year not as much but more than enough. The picture to the right is one of me last year at Glenshee. Me and my dad found a little ledge on one of the runs and thought it would was a good laugh going of it.

University.

The waiting process has started. With my application sent all i do now is wait for offers and interviews from the universities that i have applied for.

I applied for the following universities to do graphic design at:
Newcastle College
Northumbria University
New College Durham
Teesside University
Leeds College of Art

24 Hour Panto.

The Network 24 hour panto has been completed for the third year going and was my first year participating in. This years panto was Peter Pan in which i played the role of John.

The panto started at 8pm on  the sunday where we started to brainstorm ideas around Peter Pan and the story. The rest of the cast left shortly after bar 5 members who stayed back to write the script.

The next morning i was up at 6.30am for a 7am start at the panto. After creeping around the house not waking the house up i arrived at the quarry to a script pretty much complete. The script still needed a few adjustments to it so in the mean time we learned the first dance to the opening of the panto. As we were doing a run through of the script we happy to see sight of bacon sandwiches which we were promised the night before.

The rest of the morning consisted of many run throughs of the panto and the learning of dances and songs where at 12pm we were sent away for some lunch and to return at the church hall where we were to perform our panto.

The afternoon was much the same as the morning just with more tired people, sound and lighting, which the tech guys started to put up the previous night at in the morning to. At 4pm we did our first dress rehearsal which went well and just managed to fit another one in before 6.30pm when the audience was aloud to enter the church hall.

The show itself went really well with a good reaction from the audience and those that did participate. I look forward to next years.

2012.

2012 is finally upon us and what a year 2011 was for me. The highlight of 2011 for me was the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden which was simply the best 3 weeks ever! (you can read about my experience on this very blog) 2011 was also the third of Operation Twilight which is put on by my county and third time lucky i won the biggest man hunt competition in Northumberland. The final event which was big for me was my 18th birthday!

So now what does 2012 have in store for us ? Well to start with i'm taking part in my first 24 hour panto where we write rehearse and perform a panto in 24 hours (A post about how the event went will be posted). Then there is olympicmarra which is a big scout camp for the whole of Northumberland Scouts. Then there are the real olympics which are happening this summer. I'm lucky enough to be going but not to any of the big events just the football which some games are being played at St James' Park.

I'm sure there will also be more events coming up throughout the year which i'll keep you posted about.
