Newcastle V Chelsea.

The game started off well for Newcastle with Demba Ba getting through on a pass made to him only to be stopped by last man david Luiz, who only got a yellow card for him clumsy challenge which denied Ba maybe an other goal to add to his tally. Chelsea stretched the Newcastle left back position with Daniel Sturridge getting past far to easily but not being able to beat Tim Krul of Newcastle post, Sturridge, also forcing a penalty from Yohan Cabaye but Frank Lampard couldn't put chelsea into the lead from another great stop from Tim Krul. Newcastle created to good goal scoring opportunities only to be stopped by the chelsea post on Petr Cech. The chelsea goal coming just before half time was an interesting on from the newcastle faithful with a throw in though to be wrongly given but the quick thinking from Juan Mata putting in a cross for Didier Drogba to head the blues into the lead just before half time.

The second half newcastle made many good goal scoring opportunities to level the score line but couldn't beat that man again Petr Cech and that chelsea cross bar and when they did beat both from a Sammy Ameobi volley John Terry was waiting on the line to stop the equaliser. Chelsea tried though out the second half to add to there one goal lead and sadly didn't manage to do so until the 89th minute with Salomon Kalou getting the second and shortly after Daniel Sturridge managed to beat Tim Krul making the final score 0-3 to the visitors.

Apart from the football Newcastle United made respects to Gary Speed who sadly left the world of football. The 42 year made 213 appearances for the club scoring 29 goals which is impressive and it wasn't just his performance on the pitch off the pitch he was known as a good guy and a real icon in the game of football. It come to more of a shock as he was currently manager of the wales national team and was slowly bringing some good to the country.

I Heart My Mac.

Well as you can see from the title 'i <3 my mac'. I love my mac because well its a lot faster than the computer i used to have which was very very very very slow and well that was the main reason why i didn't like it that much. and well its overall performance was that of a league 2 football team.

Now i have the mac i can do so many things such as, complete college work from home and only take 10 minutes updating my blog, which normally would of took half an hour.

St James' Park.

Once again Newcastle united in the news again for all the wrong reasons. The world famous stadium St James' Park was striped of the name and turned into The sports direct arena. Apart from the horrible name he has also took away a lot of history from the club.

As you can imagine this didn't go down well with the Geordie faithful with the fans once again unhappy with Mike Ashley's decisions at the club.

In 09/10 season Mike Ashley sold the naming rights to name of the stadium, the same year the toon where in the championship. Things started to look up for Newcastle with promotion and winning the championship.

The 10/11 season started well with chris houghton taking the club at christmas but shortly after left the club for reason people still don't undertsand why. The january transfer window didn't turn out well with star striker andy carrol being sold on the last day of the window for a record 35 million pounds. The season end with Newcastle finish 12th.

Mike ashley said after we sold andy Carroll that we would see the 35 million did we ? No we didn't. We saw the departure of captain kevin Nolan and star left back Jose Enrique leave St James' park for 5 and 6 million and then joey Barton leave on a free transfer. We did see the arrival of Yohan Cabaye for around 5 million and Obertan for around 4 million pounds and that was the most we saw of the 35 million.

So far Newcastle are unbeaten in the premier league and things were going really well on Tyneside until that man again mike Ashley decided to stir things up by selling the naming rights to the stadium to the sports direct arena. I don't think you can fit any more sports direct logos on the stadium even if you tried.

Chilly times.

Monday morning has to have been the coldest day of the week so far with temperatures reach below 0 for the first time this winter.

Monday 7 November 2011

Newcastle V Everton.

Saturday was a good result for the mighty toon army in one of there best starts to the premier league in the time that I can remember.

An own goal from Everton to open the scoring. The own goal could have been prevent if the defender had of left it as Tim Howard was ready to collect the ball and Demba Ba not looking to getting the ball. After the own goal it put Newcastle in the driving seat with Everton creating a few chances.

Newcastle made it 2-0 not long after with a superb strike from Ryan Taylor from outside the box putting it in the top left hand corner out of reach from Tim Howard. That goal making it his second in the premier league and a second superb goal with his first being a free kick against Sunderland.

Everton got a goal back in stoppage time in the first Half with headed goal from Jack Rodwell.

The second half was a bit of nail biter with Everton making chance but unable to be Tim Kurl for the second time. Newcastle also made chances of there own.

The game ended 2-1 to Newcastle which put them second in the league until Manchester beat Sunderland.

Monday 31 October 2011

Stoke V Newcastle.

Tonight Newcastle were away to Stoke. Stoke is normally a hard place to travel to and will give the big teams a run for there money.

I've only seen the four goals scored this evening, three of which came from Newcastle front man demba ba, so I can't really comment on the rest of the match. But I must say out of the four goals ba's first goal a header from 6yards out and the ball slightly behind him was my favourite goal from the match. Ba made his three goals from tonight his second hat-trick this season making him Newcastle's top goal scorer

The three points from this evenings game takes Newcastle ahead of Chelsea and in to third on twenty two points out of a possible thirty from the first ten games so far.

Halloween.

Not to brag or anything but I think I had the best halloween costume this year. I think the simple effect works the best. Hopefully a better photo to follow

Thursday 27 October 2011

Blackburn V Newcastle.

last night was a nervy one to say the least when supporting Newcastle united.

Coming back to from 2-0 down in the last dieing minutes of normal time. The 2 newcastle goals were from Danny Guthrie in the second minute of stoppage time in normal time and Yohan Cabaye hitting in a free kick from 20-yards out.

That goal put the game into extra time. within 10 minutes of the first half of extra time Blackburn were ahead once again making the score 3-2 but that wasn't to stop Newcastle and coming back once again, something they have done a lot this season so far, with a penalty taken by Peter Lovenkrands.

As the game looked like it was going into penalties Blackburn managed to grab the winner and put an end of Newcastles unbeaten run in all competitions this season.

Bowling.

Yesterday evening i went bowling with a group of mates from college. I only go when i'm not helping out at cubs on a tueday. The last few times i've been i've won (Big smile) but this week i didn't come first (Unhappy face) although i did come second which i guess isn't to bad.

Sunday 23 October 2011

Rugby World Cup Final.

The game was a very good one with both side looking strong. France stepped up to the mark stopping New Zealand in the tracks. New Zealand look to have that little extra though with the home crowd acting as that extra player.

The all blacks went in the break with a 0-5 lead and soon added to it in the second half making 0-8 but France responded quickly with a converted try but the scores to 7-8.

France were looking strong and look to coming close again to scoring but if it wasn't for a superb all black side putting France back.

New Zealand played out the last couple for minutes before the final whistle went meaning New Zealand are the rugby world cup champions.

Saturday 22 October 2011

Newcastle V Wigan.

The first half was boring apart from a superb save from Tim Kurl stopping Wigan from opening the scoring. At the break it was still 0-0 with Leon Best being taken off at half time for tackle late on in the first half.

The second half improved with both teams looking stronger but Newcastle looked to have that extra edge when going forward. One of the main stand outs from the second half would be Sylvain Marveaux who replaced Obertan who didn't look on form today. The goal from Yohan Cabaye was a quality right footed shot curling away from the Wigan goal keeper who stood no chance of stopping it.

An other 3 points collect at the end and still unbeaten this season in all competitions. Let's hope we can keep up the good work.

As you can see from this picture Wigan have an amazing crowd behind there team. The official attendance at St James Park was 48,321 and i worked it out to be that the 321 would be the Wigan fan.

I come back from the match not expecting anything when BAM walk in the front room and find two sets of skiies. Was not expecting it one bit!

The Final Leg - HoHo.

After finishing the second chapter in my adventure of a life time it opened up a whole new one, HoHo. The thing i was most looking forward to about HoHo was just the country we were going to because i thought it would be a country i may not visit. Landing in the Czech Republic we got a coach with a bus driver who didn't know where he was going we finally made it to our camp for the next four days.

It wasn't like that when we arrived a lot darker.

The accomodation for our stay was teepees which slept seven people around the outside and you had the opportunity to have a fire on those cold evenings.

Our new Czech friends were very kind to us letting us take part in the summer camp and do the same activities as them. A lot of the activities were aimed at the younger ones but it made no difference to us as we have about the same mental age as them.

The food we had was a lot different to what we would normally have on our summer camps but you managed to get through it, i think our favourite part of the food would be cake for breakfast!!

Leaving our new Czech friends behind after being so close in the few days we were there was sad as they were a good bunch of people but i think it was the best ending to an experience i will never forget.

After 3 weeks of sleeping and living together you can imagine we were all very tired and it didn't help that we had to wait in Brussels aiport for 7 hours. We managed to find some seats and take a a well diserved sleep .

The jamboree experience brought together 40 scouts from around Northumberland into a unit which nobody can take away. It also gave us the best memories you could ask for and the best friends you can ask for.

22nd World Scout Jamboree Sweden.

After a thrilling couple of days in Cophenagen we set off for the adventure we had all been working so hard for. Sat on the coach watching the wonderful Swedish country side pass we eventually made it to the jamboree. Carrying our bags to our pitch wasn't the easiest of tasks as the were bit heavy and inconvenient to carry.

We made it, our home for the next two weeks. after setting up camp and already getting to grips of what we have already achieved we made our site more homely. For our camp gate we tried to make the tyne bridge as it was something that represents our area of where we come from.

The jamboree site itself was massive. you only had to walk less than 50 meters to come into contact with so many different cultures from every corner of the world. I think the main stand out for me of the jamboree would have to be the people the fact that there were 40,000 scouts from over 146 different countries on site and i think that is something within itself.

There were 3 main ceremonies at the jamboree. The open ceremony was a good way of seeing how many different countries there were talking part in this once in a life time opportunity. They also played the official jamboree song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=po5Vn84cjw0&feature=related The open ceremony was a good way to start the jamboree. The second ceremony was on cultural day. Cultural day was a day where everyone on the jamboree site dressed in the traditional cultural dress from there county.

The activities at the jamboree were more of feelings and finding yourself which as good because you got to find what other people thought. One of my favourite activity at the jamboree would have to be quest. Quest was more of a team exercise activity and the favourite part of the quest activity was the assault course. Another one of my favourite activities was camp in camp. on camp in camp we spent the night of the jamboree site and spent it with a Swedish scout group on one of the 80 sites they had and joined in with there camp to see how the swedes camped.

The final ceromony was the closing one. Which sadly brought our adventure of a lifetime to a end. That night was a good send of though as there was great music performed by europe and other bands from Sweden and Belguim. There was also the king of Sweden (who is awesome) saying some words about scouts and the jamboree and also the hand over to the next jamboree which will be help in Japan in 2015.

The Starting Leg - Cophenagen.

Through out today i'm going to tell you the story of the best 3 weeks of my life.

It all started on the 25th of july where a group of 36 young scouts and 4 leaders set off from Newcastle airport. The plane took us to the city of Cophenagen along with 4000 other scouts from around the UK. Finding our bags at Cophenagen was interesting because we weren't the only unit landing there for the adventure of a life time. After grabbing our bags we were wisked away to our hostle.

We were to stay in the wonderful city of Cophenagen for two days and through out those ttwo days we took part in activities around the city put on by the UK contingent. One of these activities was power boats. They set of slowly out of the harbour and once we got past that point they wizzed off! We also got access to Tivoli gardens which is a big theme park in the middle of the city. We thought that the day couldn't get any better but we were so wrong. Before we set off we knew that the UK contingent were going to put on a party but we had know idea what it was going to be like. We arrived at this massive wearhouse greeted by music and performances.

Inside the wearhouse they had a big stage at one end and had bands playing majicains and a drumming band. Through out the night it seemed to get better and better with music from Alphabeat. whilest all this was going on people were meeting other people and sharing storys and songs. This would only be the start of what was to come in the coming weeks.

Thoughts Of The Day.

Today was a fairly average day but there was one thing that stood out the most and it was of this photo. It annoyed me because all I saw when they were doing this was just them emptying water on the street which seemed the most pointless thing ever! But apart from that today was all good :)

Creative.

As a graphic design student I think differently and more creative. Here is an example of me being creative on my days off from college.

College.

I'm currently a student at Newcastle college studying graphic design.
What do i like about graphic design ? The reason for liking this subject is because it gives you the chance to express yourself in a style that fits you. I got into graphics in year 9 and since that moment I've enjoyed the subject and the freedom it gives you.

Me. Football.

As you know my name is Adam. What do I like ? Well I'm from the North East England, Newcastle to be more accurate. So football is big. I have a season ticket at Newcastle united which I've had for a season and a half.

Newcastle this season have started strong season, unbeaten in all competitions. The game Sunday just gone I think was the first big test this season and we stepped up to the mark with a brilliant second half performance coming back twice to level and ending with a deserved point against a Tottenham team which looked strong.

Welcome.

Hello, my name is adam and this is my blog. It looks rather plan and boring now but hopefully it shall become more interesting as the days go on.
I'll try and blog at least once a day on the going ons in and around my life.

Yes, that is me in the picture.
You may be wondering where it is? But i shall explain all in the coming future

So watch this space.
